SCULPTOR / PAINTER & FOUNDER PRINCIPAL OF KARACHI SCHOOL OF ART

  • Graduated in Arts form Aligarh University, India (1959)
  • Graduated in Sculpture from Govt. Art College Lucknow, India (1963)
  • Pioneer in Introducing Art Education in Sindh.
  • Established Karachi School of Art in 1964.
  • Served as Chairman Fine Arts Committee of Pakistan for 3 years and established a Permanent Art Gallery at the Pakistan Arts Council, Karachi.

  • Three Life Size Sculptures for a leading Industrial organization in Karachi.

  • Life Time Achievement Award at the 8th National Exhibition 2003.
  • National Award in Sculpture at 7th National Exhibition 1996.
  • Participated in a number of group and solo exhibitions held in Pakistan and abroad between 1964 and 1988.
  • Second Prize in Sculpture at the Biennale held at Lahore in 1988.
  • Second Prize in Sculpture from National Council of Art, Islamabad in 1987.

  • First Prize in Sculpture at all India Youth Festival in 1963, held in New Delhi.
