Since its inception in 1964, Karachi School of Art is serving the nation well by producing a large number artist, designers and teachers, who are now established in countless organizations throughout Pakistan and abroad. With over 4000 graduates serving the creative industry the saga of Karachi School of Art continues, ever expanding, ever widening to meet the challenges of the present and the future.

Karachi School of Art has also played an eminent role in conserving and propagating the tradition of watercolor in Pakistan. Watercolor in the region of subcontinent is taken as the most powerful indigenous medium in visual art. Karachi School of Art has made special effort to bring this medium to the limelight and to the most contemporary context and practice in visual arts. Today most of the celebrated watercolorist in the contemporary art scenario in Pakistan belong Karachi School of Art.
